United in Sisterhood, Faith, and Service

The UOPSA USA Silver Spring Chapter, affectionately known as the “Springers,” is a vibrant and united community of Queens dedicated to preserving the legacy of Queen of the Rosary College (QRC), Okoyong, while strengthening the bonds of friendship, faith, and sisterhood.

With 30 dedicated members, the chapter takes pride in its strong commitment to UOPSA, reflected in active participation, financial responsibility, and unwavering support for one another. Whether gathering virtually or in person, the Springers continue to nurture meaningful friendships and celebrate the sisterhood that connects them.

Faith, compassion, and solidarity are at the heart of the Silver Spring Chapter. Members stand together during life's celebrations and challenges, offering comfort and support in times of bereavement. Through condolence visits, novena prayers, and weekly rosary gatherings, the chapter demonstrates that sisterhood extends far beyond meetings and social events.

The Springers are equally passionate about giving back to their alma mater. Their contributions to QRC include recognizing outstanding students with cash awards, providing essential school supplies, and supporting improvements to student facilities. Among their recent accomplishments are the donation of 15 coolers, 30 cooking pots, more than 20 school uniforms, and educational materials for students in need, made possible through fundraising efforts exceeding $2,000.

Beyond charitable initiatives, the Silver Spring Chapter actively contributes to the growth and governance of UOPSA USA, including participation in the review of national bylaws and enthusiastic involvement in national conventions and cultural celebrations.

The Silver Spring Chapter embodies the true meaning of sisterhood in action—Queens who pray together, celebrate together, support one another, and work together to make a lasting difference.
